The CTSI is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Knudson, MD, as Co-Director of the CTSI Biomedical informatics Program.  Dr. Knudson is an associate professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Clinical Nutrition at MCW and serves as a co-Director of the Diabetes Care Center.  After getting a Biochemistry degree from University of California at Davis, he received his medical degree and his Internal Medicine training from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his Endocrinology fellowship at the University of California at San Diego.

His clinical interests include diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 and inpatient and outpatient management, in addition to other endocrinological disorders involving the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pituitary. His research focus is on clinical informatics, especially with regard to diabetes mellitus, and non-invasive blood chemistry measurements.

Dr. Knudson currently serves as Chair of the CTSI Scientific Review Committee for the Translational Research Units.
