Overview
ATRU is part of the CTSI Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC) led by Dr. David Friedland to help conduct the CTSI mission (below), to improve the conduct of (adult) human subject research, and to maintain a forward thinking vision for the unit. ATRU leadership includes a Medical Director, a CTRC Research Operations Manager, and 3 Program Managers who coordinate the Clinical, Laboratory, & Bionutrition (BION) Service Lines that work in conjunction with the ATRU.
All services are performed by an objective and reliable team of clinicians and laboratory support staff who have experience in adjudication across numerous therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular studies, pulmonary medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal and liver disease, kidney disease, pediatrics, and neurosciences to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all research events.
