23 Nov Graduate Certificate in Clinical & Translational Science
A new certificate program is being offered at the Medical College of Wisconsin in conjunction with the Master of Science Program in Clinical and Translational Science and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI).
The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Translational Science will consist of coursework in two main focus areas of clinical and translational science:
- Translational Research, or
- Commercial Development of Drugs, Biologics, Devices, and Diagnostics.
The program will offer 12 graduate credits which may be applied toward the Master of Science Program in Clinical and Translational Science at the Medical College of Wisconsin or other programs which offer advanced degrees in Clinical Translational Science. Students will participate in core and elective courses currently being offered through the MS Program in Clinical and Translational Science.
The certificate program will be built on the following foundational courses: Biostatistics I, Introduction to Clinical and Translational Science, Introduction to Epidemiology, Clinical Trial Design, Clinical and Translational Research Seminar, and Ethics and Integrity in Science.
Additional elective courses will be offered in two broad areas of emphasis from which students can choose.
