2026 CTSI Dean's Award

Call for Nominees for CTSI Dean's Award 2026

The Dean’s Award in Clinical & Translational Research was created to recognize MCW faculty who have made a significant contribution to advancing translational science and research to improve the health of our community and patients through research and discovery. 

Eligibility: 

  • Investigators who have made a discovery or a breakthrough in Clinical & Translational Research
  • An individual who has made significant improvements to the research infrastructure and/or to the process of accelerating translational research at MCW to improve the health of our patients
  • An investigator who designed/conducted impactful clinical trials

Definitions: 

  • Translational Research: refers to the translation of clinical and basic science observations or discoveries to bedside clinical practice, community health, or dissemination to population-based community interventions.
  • Translational Science: the field of investigation focused on understanding and addressing the scientific and organizational challenges underlying each step of the translational process. 

Nomination Process:

Candidates may be peer-nominated using the form below. Each nomination must include a brief statement describing the candidate’s qualifications and the tangible impact of their research. No more than two nomination statements will be included in the review packet for any one candidate.

One Awardee per year will be selected by a Dean’s Clinical and Translational Award Committee comprised of prior awardees and ad hoc members.

Deadline: Nominations must be submitted by 11:59pm CST on July 22, 2026.

Award:

This year’s award will be presented at the Faculty Awards and Honors event this fall.
