Join us for the Mega Science Café on May 13

Enjoy a free breakfast, receive a free hearing screening and learn more about your health!

Enjoy a free breakfast, receive a free hearing screening and participate in a conversation about hearing loss and related research and at the upcoming CTSI Mega Science Café on Saturday, May 13. All are welcome! The event will be held at the Greater Life Community Center, 2432 N. Teutonia Ave., in Milwaukee, and run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m.

Free hearing loss screenings are available for both adults and children at the event, provided by the HEAR Wisconsin Mobile Audiology Clinic. No identification or insurance cards are required for the screening and follow-ups will be available for all participants.

There will be presentations by experts in otolaryngology followed by a conversation with community members. Learn about research findings and how they relate to your health. Be part of a discussion about hearing loss and related research. The discussion will be led by David R. Friedland, MD, PhD, and Christina L. Runge, CCC-A, PhD, from the Department of Otolaryngology and Communications Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The latest in hearing aids will be on display at the event as well, and participants will have the opportunity to learn more about their health by enrolling in the All of Us Research Program, a nationwide effort to speed up health research and share personalized DNA results with its participants, including ancestry.
