Dr. Srividya Kidambi to Receive National Clinical Research Program Grant

Dr. Kidambi is the recipient of this award for her research: Interplay of Gender, Insulin Resistance and Adiposity on Endothelial Function Amoung African Americans. She states the goal of this study is to determine if subcutaneous adipose tissue protects vascular function on African American women. Funds from this grant will be used for subject recruitment, reimbursements and part of laboratory analyses.

About the Grant

The objective of this grant is to encourage early career investigators who have appropriate and supportive mentoring relationships to engage in high quality introductory and pilot clinical studies that will guide future strategies for reducing cardiovascular disease and stroke while fostering new research in Clinical and Translational Science and encouraging community and population-based activities.
