24 Jun Biotechnology Center grant opportunity for fellows
The Innovation Center within the Biotechnology and Bioengineering Center (BBC) has funding available for postdoctoral and clinical fellows from within the Medical College of Wisconsin. This grant program supports the initiation of novel collaborative research efforts between MCW postdoctoral and clinical fellows and BBC faculty collaborators utilizing mass spectrometry resources available in the Innovation Center. These fellows will receive access to $20,000 in mass spectrometry services and mentoring from the Innovation Center.
The goal of this program is to encourage postdoctoral and clinical fellows to develop an innovative proposal that takes advantage of the unique resources available at MCW in furthering the research in their laboratory. Proposals for the application of mass spectrometry tools in the areas of stem cell research, tissue engineering, genetics, proteomics, drug discovery, and computational biology will be considered.
Proposal deadlines are: July 8th for submission in eBridge; July 15th for final application submission. The funding period is September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012.
Thank you for bringing this to the attention of fellows in your Departments, Divisions, and Centers.
