CTSI Announces Spring 2014 Methods in Grant Preparation Series

Are you or will you be writing one or more grant proposals? Do you want to learn how to identify funding opportunities, write a successful NIH grant, or about the NIH review process?

Methods in Grant Preparation is a seminar series directed by David Harder, PhD, Associate Dean for Mentoring and hosted by the CTSI since spring 2013. This series addresses how to succinctly state overall and specific hypotheses and specific aims with affirmation and relevance. It also suggests specific writing styles with the intent of clearly stating the importance of the specific aims and bringing them to fruition. The series is recommended for faculty, staff, and other individuals who are currently or will be working on one or more grant proposals.

The Spring 2014 series begins February 19th and runs through May 7 on consecutive Wednesdays from 5-7pm. Classes will be held at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Health Research Center, room H1250. The series is available for a certificate of completion. Pre-registration is required. Registration forms are due by February 1, 2014. Learn more about the series and how to register.
