BMI/CTO Team Exceeds Enrollment Goal for Aspirin Study

CTSI’s Biomedical Informatics program and Clinical Trials Office have been jointly recruiting Froedtert & MCW patients for the Adaptable aspirin trial since January of 2017. This large-scale, pragmatic trial aims to recruit 15,000 patients across the U.S. to compare the effectiveness of two daily doses of aspirin (81mg vs. 325mg) among patients with heart disease.

Our team’s goal was to enroll 500 patients by the close of the study’s enrollment period, which is May 31st, and they have enrolled 514 patients to date. For this study, we are one of the top 10 recruiting sites in the nation, and we are the only team to have performed 100% paperless recruitment for it.
