In response to the COVID-19 crisis, CTSI partner institutions are working to bring together Southeastern Wisconsin’s expansive network of basic scientists, clinical/translational investigators, clinicians, public health experts, community of stakeholders, and health system experts to join teams to improve health by translating research ideas to the Clinic, Community, and Health Systems in an expedited manner.
The research teams, which we call “COVID-19 Research Initiative Teams”, will be formed around topics and questions that have been developed from reviewing COVID-19 RFAs and suggestions from the COVID-19 Research Initiative Steering Committee and investigators.
These generally fall into Prevention, Treatment, Post-Pandemic Sequalae, and Technology categories, involving acute care settings, chronic care settings, community, and health systems. If you are interested in participating, please contact Mike Anello, and you will be contacted and placed in the team of your topic of choice.
Our goal is to form effective collaborations between various research fields through this initiative. These collaborations will receive a variety of project support, including project management, to achieve their objectives.
